2024 YL/FFA SAFETY EXPO

Thank you to Win-Bur-Sew Fire Protection District; Winnebago County Emergency Management; Mandy Haugh, Nursing Professional Development Specialist at UW Health of Northern Illinois; and local farmers: Brent Mueller and Brent Pollard for helping us teach about staying safe on and off the farm. Topics included fire safety; emergency preparedness; first aid and important items to have in a first aid kit; and how fast farm accidents can happen.

Eighty-one FFA students and staff from Belvidere FFA Chapter, Belvidere North High School; North Boone FFA; Durand, IL FFA and Pecatonica High School FFA participated in today's FFA Safety Expo sponsored by the Winnebago-Boone Farm Bureau Young Leaders. Jessica Bubert shared opportunities available through Collegiate Farm Bureau, Winnebago-Boone Farm Bureau. This event was partially funded by the Illinois Farm Bureau and COUNTRY Financial Farm Safety Grant.
