In response to questions from stakeholders regarding Great Lakes Basin Transportation, Inc. Application for Authority to Construct and Operate a New Railroad Line, the STB prepared the “Final GLBT Summary” about the application and STB procedures for submitting public comments on GLBT's application. The “Final GLBT Summary” may also be found on this link on STB site, under "Items of Interest" GLBT Applies for Authority to Construct and Operate a New Railroad.
Under STB regulations, public comments must be filed within 35 days of the filing date of the application, so the deadline is June 5th. However, the STB may set different deadlines for filing comments and a request for an extension of time to submit public comments has already been filed by multiple opposition groups.
